Last updated
This policy explains how BRIK Digital collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information, and how you can access or correct the information we hold about you. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
BRIK Digital is a trading name of Brickfield Holdings Pty Ltd. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Brickfield Holdings Pty Ltd trading as BRIK Digital.
What we collect
We only collect personal information that we need to respond to you, provide our services or run our business.
- Enquiries: when you contact us through our website, by phone or by email, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, the services you're interested in and anything else you choose to tell us.
- Job applications: when you apply for a role, we collect your name, email address, LinkedIn and portfolio links, the role you're applying for, and your résumé and cover letter.
- Clients: when we work together, we collect the contact details of the people we deal with, and we may be given access to your marketing, advertising and analytics accounts to deliver our services. Where those accounts contain personal or health information about your own customers, we only access and use it to deliver the services you've engaged us for, in line with your instructions and your privacy obligations.
- Website usage: when you visit our website, we collect information about how you use it, such as pages viewed, the device and browser you use, your approximate location and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below) and doesn't usually identify you personally.
You don't have to give us your personal information, but if you don't, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry or consider your application.
How we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and organise a consultation
- provide, manage and improve our services
- assess job applications
- send you information you've asked for
- understand how our website is used and measure the performance of our advertising
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We won't use your information for direct marketing unless you've agreed to it or would reasonably expect it, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses Google Tag Manager to run analytics and advertising tools, including Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta pixel. These tools use cookies to measure how visitors use the site and which advertising led to an enquiry.
We also use remarketing (retargeting): Google and Meta may show our ads to people who have previously visited our website, on Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and partner websites.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage personalised ads through Google Ad Settings and Meta ad preferences.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our business, with service providers who help us do that, including:
- Netlify, which hosts our website and stores website form submissions
- Google and Meta, for analytics and advertising
- our email, file storage and accounting providers
- professional advisers, such as our accountant
- anyone we're required to share it with by law.
Where we engage contractors to help deliver client work, they only receive the information they need for that work.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers, including Netlify, Google and Meta, store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. When we use these providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How we store and protect it
We store personal information electronically with reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and secure passwords. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
